In conjunction with Nature’s Best Photography magazine and Nature’s Best Photography Students Online, explore and learn photographic techniques for covering animals, plants, and our environment. Attend discussions with editors and photographers of NBP and NBP Students Online, field trips to museums, and excursions to local nature preserves. Assemble a portfolio and have the opportunity to publish your images.
Course Objectives
• Learn nature photography techniques
• Develop and enhance camera skills
• Understand characteristics of a successful nature photographer
• Learn guidelines of working in the field and getting your work published
In our short time together we will be going on four field trips, will have three speakers making presentations, work in the computer lab to process your images using Photoshop and post your work to a blog. We will have extra equipment for your use. Nikon Professional Service is providing several lenses and camera bodies. The school will have DSLR cameras for you use if you don’t have a camera.
